Howard Hughes - Hello Day
Hello Day is The Howard Hughes Corporation’s quarterly orientation event. New hires from across the portfolio are invited to join us at our headquarters in Dallas, TX to say hello to and hear from executives as well as to learn more about the company. Hello Day was in need of an identity that was fun and fresh while still maintaining the integrity of the Howard Hughes brand. My goal for the creative of this event was to streamline imagery and type usage throughout. I aimed for adequate repetition so as to establish event recognition without making for monotonous design.
The e-invite RSVP button took new hires to the landing page where they could RSVP and gather details about the event. I utilized a different piece of imagery for the hero image while maintaining the fresh whimsical concept and furthering the color palette.
The Hello Day website is hosted on SplashThat. I designed the page via SplashThat’s CMS.
Not only were the name tags a final component to cement the Hello Day Q1 2019 theme but they were also a device to help group attendees for activities.
The Hello Day Q1 2019 theme is first introduced via an HTML based e-invite. I chose bright images that contained a good amount of white space so as for clean design when components were combined.
The Hello Day program guide was a critical component to bring the event together. Attendees were able to follow the schedule of events, learn quick facts about speakers, take organized notes, and gather contact info for the colleagues they met.
The 8” x 8” guide was printed on 100lb matte card stock and bound by metal spiral. I worked with the printer and oversaw all production.
